Service Description

Shiatsu is a massage therapy treatment taking its roots in Japan. Developed at the beginning of the 20th century, it encapsulates some traditional medicine elements, including anma massage and acupuncture. Shiatsu is usually performed without oil but through lightweight clothing made from cotton or linen. Professional massage therapists use stretching, kneading, soothing, tapping, and pressing techniques to active a body’s ability to heal itself. Shiatsu is based on the Qi concept that translates as ‘vital energy’ or ‘vital force.’ Massage practitioners believe that it flows through a person’s body and causes health problems when it’s blocked. When you come to our massage shop, our massage therapists analyze your overall well-being, and during a session, they target body meridians that correspond to organs requiring treatment. It can be kidney, stomach, liver, spleen, heart, lungs, etc. This manual therapy is great for relieving some stress after a tough week, treating chronic pain by stimulating your circulatory, hormonal, and lymphatic systems. Health experts argue that shiatsu also helps decrease muscle stiffens, improve your skin quality, treat digestive problems, fatigue, tension headaches, insomnia, and lower back and neck pain.
